Items Are Not Published in Agile BOM If Quantity Is Less Than 1 from CAD (Doc ID 2929723.1)

Symptoms

Items are not published in Agile BOM if quantity is less than 1.

The payload of Engineering Collaboration (EC) Client is correct:
- The transferred bom-integer-quantity option is false.
- The value of the quantity (attribute id is 2000008325) is transferred in the structure table and greater than 0 but less than 1.



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In CAXConfig.xml under components\ini folder, set PublishIntegerQuantities=false
  2. Launch CAD client, and go to Home > New, and create an assembly with two parts. Make sure the Quantity (Qty) for the parts are set to "1".
  3. Go to Agile > Save Preview.
  4. Agile Save Preview window opens. Give Item Number and Design Number for the assembly and parts, and Save.
  5. Continue
  6. Save to PLM Successful window shows up.
  7. Close Save to PLM Successful window.
  8. Log into Web Client, and search for the Item number of the assembly and open
  9. Go to BOM tab, and see two BOM items are added with Qty: 1.0
  10. Go to Relationships tab, and open Design
  11. Go to Structure tab, and see the parts are added with Qty: 1
  12. Go to CAD client, and select one of the part and right click, and open Properties. In the Assembly tab, change Quantity from "1.0000" to "0.7" and Save. See the Quantity now shows: 0.700000
  13. Perform Agile > Save Preview
  14. Agile Save Preview window opens. Click Continue
  15. Save to PLM Successful window shows up.
  16. Go back to Web Client, and refresh the Design object for the assembly. See in the Structure tab, Quantity for the part has changed to 0.7.
  17. Go to Relationship tab, and open the assembly item.
  18. Go to BOM tab, and see there is only one part. The part which was updated Qty to 0.7 is removed.
