For Some Users the Default Tab in Home Page Is Not Same as the Preferred Start Page in User Profile

Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
The start page (Home page) is not showing the correct tab which is set in the user profile | preference settings.
eg:-In Preference tab of user select 'Preferred start page' as 'Notification' but in the Web Client Home page it will default to Workflow routing.
This issue is seen for random users.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
The Home page when opened should display the tab which is set as default in User Preference setting.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Web Client : http(s)://<FQDN>:port>/Agile/PLMServlet.
2. Home Page displays Workflow Routings by default.
3. Verify the User Profile >Preferences > Default tab, this is set as Notifications.
