Symptoms

Search on Qualitative Lookup extended attribute, below error pops up in the Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process (PLM4P) application:



ERROR

Server Error in '/gsm' Application.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Stack Trace:
[NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to and instance of an object.]

Also, below error is observed in Event Log when the issue happens:





Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into PLM4P application.
2. Open Trade Spec. Extended Tab -> Under 'Classification' table click on Sustainability row.
3. Click on Magnifier icon.
4. Search window pops up. Input enter search string and click on Search button.
5. Gets error: "Server Error in '/gsm' Application" in the popup window, instead of searched records to be loaded.

Changes

Single drop down changed to Qualitative Lookup DataSource
