Unable to Import Redline BOM with Warning: the Number of Ref Des Does Not Match the Value of Attribute Quantity (Doc ID 2934227.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

Unable to import and redline BOM with quantity which does not match Ref Des with error "Couldn't reset the BOM and/or AML redlines for item '{BOM Item Number}' - Item will be rejected. The number of Ref Des 1 does not match the value {value} of attribute Quantity.",
while user can ignore the warning when attempting to manually update BOM quantity with the same value.

Expected Behavior

Able to import an redline BOM even though the BOM quantity does not match the value of Ref Des


Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Prepare Import Source file to import BOM item. Set the value of Quantity of the BOM item to the number which is different from 1
  2. Login to Web Client, and create BOM item. Set Ref Des of BOM item to 1
  3. Go to Tools > Import, and select the Source file created in 1, and Next
  4. Click Import Preference, and go to Business Rule, and select Change Mode: Redlining, and Save
  5. Select Item > Bill of Material, and Next
  6. Select: Define attribute mapping n next step
  7. Select Redline Options: Use the following Change for redlining, and select a Change object, and Next
  8. Map the attributes, and Next
  9. Validate
  10. Gets below error:
    Messages:
    Couldn't reset the BOM and/or AML redlines for item '{BOM Item Number}' - Item will be rejected. The number of Ref Des 1 does not match the value {number} of attribute Quantity.
