XER Import Starts Then Stops Without Completing (Doc ID 2937381.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

A single XER file will not import. The import starts but stops mid-import and does not complete. You must click Cancel to close the import window and no error is given.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

XER file should import without issue.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to P6.
  2. Go to File > Import.
  3. Choose Primavera PM - (XER) and click Next.
  4. Choose Project and click Next.
  5. Select XER file to be imported and click Next.
  6. Change Import To destination and click Next.
  7. Choose Default Import Template and click Next.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. Import starts but does not complete.
