Error "'◊' is not a valid floating point value" When Attempting to Update the 'Physical % complete' Value in P6 Professional (Doc ID 2939744.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to update the Physical % complete field for an activity in P6 Professional, the following error occurs.

'◊' is not a valid floating point value.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open a project in P6 Professional and select an Activity.
  2. Set the Physical % complete field to 30%.
  3. Observe the reported error.
  4. After clicking OK in the error pop-up window, nothing loads and all activities disappear.
