InfluxDB Field Type Conflict Errors (Doc ID 2943880.1)

Symptoms

Please note, this issue was resolved in updates 5.5.18 and 6.0.3. If you are on a version lower on the v5 or v6 channel, then this article will still apply. 

When you see errors like below, this means that influx is not accepting the new data, because the type of the data changed from int to float.  If you delete the measurement, it will recreate it with the right type. You can also wait and it will eventually fix itself when the data rotates to a new internal shard. These messages are pretty common, and come from the applications collecting the data.
