Purpose

Effective with release 21.12.10 and later releases, the P6 Professional alias configuration now has an option for Use ADO.NET.

Scope

This article describes the functionality of the Use ADO.NET option when configuring a direct (i.e. Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server) database connection.

This information can assist customers with resolving "Access Violation" errors during the login process.
