Fails to Run Fileload from Java Client With Error '<FileServers may be down. Please check the FileServer Configuration.>' in FileLoad Log and Failed Hostname Verification Check Error in Java Console Log (Doc ID 2948078.1)

Symptoms

FileLoad fails with below error in FileLoad log file:

<FileServers may be down. Please check the FileServer Configuration.>


When enabling java console log, below error can be seen.
For the instruction to enable java console, refer to Note:1456651.1:
<May 10, 2023 9:54:13 AM CST> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090504> <Certificate chain received from {server_name}.{domain_name} - XXX.XX.XX.X failed hostname verification check. Certificate contained *.{domain_name} but check expected {server_name}.{domain_name}>
com.agile.webfs.components.common.RepositoryException: The preferred file server : https://{server_name}.{domain_name}:443/Filemgr/services/FileServer for current user is down. Please contact the system administrator.



Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Put the file under local disk.
  2. Create the index file with content below;
  3. Log into Java Client, and perform Tools > FileLoad
  4. Choose the index file,then upload
  5. See the error in the FileLoad log

Facts

- File Manager is running.
- File Manager URL is using SSL URL. This can be confirmed from Java Client > Admin tab > Server Settings > Locations > File Manager tab > iFS (file manager name) > File Manager URL.
