Plan Output Has Sales Order Suggested Ship Date That Is Not In Sync With The Sales Order Schedule Ship Date (Doc ID 2948167.1)

Last updated on MAY 10, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.6.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Workbench - Suggested Ship Date is not in sync with the Sales order Schedule Ship Date

NAV: Order Management (R) / Orders, Returns / Sales /Orders

Sales order has Requested date - 12-APR
Schedule Ship Date - 10-SEP
Qty = 100
Reserved qty = 45

Qty 50 is On hand
Reservation exists for 45 of 100 for the order
AND one other order for qty = 5 reserves rest of On hand

NAV: Advanced Supply Chain Planner (R) / Supply Chain Plan / Workbench and query item
Old Due Date - 12-APR - matches Request Date
Material Available Date - 06-OCT
NOTE: In Plan output - Key field is Material Available Date - this drives the Suggested Ship Date (which is validated against Org Shipping Calendar and could be different)

Sales order for qty 5 which is reserved is satisfied on plan run date 13-APR.
All other sales orders show Material Available Date = 06-OCT
But there are planned orders on 11-SEP and 27-SEP that match to some of the sales order demands

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR - The sales orders that match quantity with planned orders on 11-SEP and 27-SEP should have Material Available Date matching to the Planned order Dates - and not showing latest Date of 06-OCT
