OnlineUsageResponse.getGrantedUnits() Returns Null (Doc ID 2950139.1)

Symptoms


After upgrading production environment to Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) 12.0.0.5.3, the user observes that for some requests within Diameter Gateway (DGW) GyExtension.handlePostOCS() callback, when accessing OnlineUsageResponse.getGrantedUnits(), it returns null and causes NullPointerException in further processing within extension. The context of the above invocation are INITIATE and UPDATE requests, ECS responses having SUCCESS status.
This behavior was not there before the upgrade nor noticed it during prior testing.
Please explain possible circumstance of null being returned from OnlineUsageResponse.getGrantedUnits() upon UsageRequest success.
