Last updated on MAY 23, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 12.0.2.0.0 to 12.0.6.0.0 [Release 12.0.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) versions 12.0.2.0 to 12.0.6.0 (inclusive), there is an issue that can occur when querying for active reservations against a wallet.  When querying for active reservations in the screens (Services → Prepaid Charging → Subscriber → Reservations), the following Java exception is thrown:

com.eservglobal.ccs.CCSAccountException: Internal Error: Failure in the Billing Engine: Data Exception: Bad value (1) for field ‘WALT’: No such wallet: ccs.ccsBeOrb.InternalError: IDL:ccs/ccsBeOrb/InternalError:1.0

which corresponds to the following alarm in the beVWARS log:

May 5 20:59:35.492911 beVWARS(19781) ERROR: Protocol exception message returned when using the handler: [clientId <CLIENT ID>, clientMsgId 0]
May 5 20:59:35.492989 beVWARS(19781) ERROR: Data Exception: Bad value (<WALLET ID>) for field 'WALT': No such wallet:

This issue will suddenly occur and only affect the ability to search for active reservations against any/all subscribers.

This issue specifically affects the Wallet Reservation Information (WRI) Request messages and does not affect new or ongoing reservations.
