AsPolicyValue And AsDepositValue Tables Not Working Correctly After Upgrade (Doc ID 2950958.1)

Last updated on JUNE 07, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 11.3.1.17 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.3.1.17 version, Fund Information

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Following an upgrade from OIPA v10.2.40 to v11.3.1,
it appears that the AsPolicyValue and AsDepositValue are not updated correctly.
The AsPolicyValue still has the old column names and nothing was updated.

As a result, after making the changes, the system is encountering errors that the
BEGINENDFLAG column (which was supposed to be removed) does not allow Nulls.
The business is unable to remove the column manually because as part of the upgrade, values
that were in CashValue were supposed to be moved to EndCashValue if that
column was set to “E” and values were supposed to move to BeginCashValue where the column would have been “B”.

The AsDepositValue table looks incorrect as well.
The new columns were added but the older columns “BeginEndFlag” and “CashValue” were not removed.
Only the “Units” column was removed.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Configuration that refers to modified tables to be updated as well, with the
Upgrade Utility tool so that it works post upgrade.
