Notification "The system could not process your request" When Trying to Left Outer Join In A Data View (Doc ID 2953341.1)

Symptoms

Unable to Left Outer Join in a Data View.

When the user deploys the Data View and tries to view the data, a notification message pops up.

ERROR

The system could not process your request. Logging in again may help in some cases. Contact your System Administrator if you are still having problems.

Division by 0 error:  SQLException: ORA-XXXXX: divisor is equal to zero.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into user environment.
  2. Navigate to the Shell.
  3. Go to Data Structure Setup.
  4. Go to Data Views.
  5. Create a new Data View.
  6. Paste the code into the Data View.
  7. Publish the data view to see the data that comes out of the data view.
  8. A notification message will pop up.
