When attempting to add characters less than the maximum number set for the large text field, below error message shows up and the LargeText field cannot be saved:

Exceeded maximum number of characters {Number1}. Your input contains {Number2} characters.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Java Client as admin user, and go to Admin tab > Settings > Data Classes > and open any Subclass, and go to User Defined Attributes > Page Three > Attributes: Page Three, and edit Large Text field, and set Visible: Yes, and MaxLength: 60000, and Save.
  2. Prepare a text file with less than 60000 characters. For example, create a text file with the copy of 600 lines of below text. Below text has 97 characters with spaces:
  3. Log into Web Client, and create the subclass object, edit Cover Page, and copy and paste the characters from the text file in step 1 to Large Text field, and Save.
  4. Gets the error in the Web Client window: "Exceeded maximum number of characters 60000. Your input contains 62401 characters." or "Exceeded maximum number of characters 60000. Your input contains 60603 characters."
