Symptoms

After enabling SSL with Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), unable to add/get file from Web Client with below error:

Your Preferred File Manager is not accessible. Please contact the system Administrator.

Application Server log shows below exception. To understand the location of Agile Application Server log, refer to Note:1456651.1:
javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: Hostname verification failed: HostnameVerifier=weblogic.security.utils.SSLWLSHostnameVerifier, hostname={server_name}.{domain_name}.


When accessed to File Manager Configuration page (https://{server_name}.{domain_name}:{port}/Filemgr/Configuration), it shows status all success.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Web Client from URL: https://{server_name}.{domain_name}:{port}/Agile/PLMServlet
  2. Go to My Settings > Attachment.
  3. Add file, and see the error in the Web Client window.

Changes

Configured SSL for Application Server/File Manager/Web Proxy/Load Balancer running for Agile PLM.
