Error "An error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator" When Adding an Activity to a Timesheet in the Team Member Web Timesheet Page (Doc ID 2962989.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to add an Activity to a Timesheet in the Timesheets tab of the Team Member Web application, the following error occurs:

An error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator.

The associated error is shown in the <P6 EPPM home>\tm\p6tmweb.log file:

com.oracle.pgbu.rest.resources.timesheet.AssignmentResource handleException
SEVERE: Failed retrieving assignmets for user Id-currentuser
com.primavera.bo.base.DBEngineException: Invalid request
...
Caused by: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01795: maximum number of
expressions in a list is 1000

 

The issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps:

  1. In Team Member Web application select the Timesheets tab.
  2. Manually add Activities to a Timesheet.
  3. The reported error occurs.
