Convergence On Weblogic Does Not Forward Request to a Non-Default SSL Port Behind an External Load Balancer
(Doc ID 2964435.1)
Last updated on JULY 16, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 3.0.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On: Oracle Communications Convergence 3.0.3.2 version and WLS 12c
In a particular scenario, there was a requirement for an external Load Balancer (LB) configuration for Convergence on Weblogic. In this scenario, when a user tries to access the Convergence URL, it goes to the base port (non-ssl) NNNN and the LB is not able to resolve it.
Example:
https://example.com
When trying to access it, it is going to:
https://example.com:<PORT NNNN>/iwc...
But, it should actually open as:
https://example.com/iwc... <------- the internal non-ssl port NNNN should not be there
Changes
The LB is configured with:
- frontend port: 443
- backend port: NNNN
