Changing CO Exchange Area OCN Only Updates 8 Character CLLI of Network Locations Associated with the Exchange Area (Doc ID 2965041.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Changing the CO Exchange Area's Operating Company Number (OCN) only updates the OCN of the 8 character building CLLI in Network Location. It does NOT update the OCN on any of the 11 character CLLIs of that exchange CLLI. It should since the OCN for each Network Location is driven by the configured value populated for the exchange CLLI and cannot be changed otherwise.

Recreation Steps

1. Application Setup.

2. Organization Setup.

3. Operating Companies (OCN).

4. Search for and open a CO Exchange Area.

5. Note the 8 character CLLI value in the Exchange Area SWC Network Location field and change the CO Exchange Area's OCN value.

6. Click OK.

7. Application Setup.

8. Location and Geography Setup.

9. Network Locations.

10. In the Network Location Search window, search for Network Locations beginning with the first 8 characters of the CLLI noted in step 5 (example - Network Location: LIKE 8CLLI%).

11. Click Search.

12. Double-click the 8 character CLLI Network Location and note the OCN in the Operating Company field is the same as the CO Exchange Area's updated OCN.

13. Click Cancel.

14. Double-click any of the 11 character CLLI Network Locations and note their OCN values in the Operating Company field were not updated with the CO Exchange Area's updated OCN.
