LSH Password Not Changed even if the Pop-up Message was "Password updated successfully"

Symptoms
On Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub (LSH) 3.1.0.2 version, user is changing the LSH password through preferences page
and receiving "Password updated successfully" message but is unable to log in with the new password.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
--------------------------
Password should be changed and user able to log in successfully using the new password.
STEPS
--------
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Login to LSH.
2. Go to "Preferences".
3. Under "General Preferences" page, "Change Password" section, enter the old and new password.
4. Press "Apply" button.
