MDO: What Does This Message Mean "Some of the items selected have already sent to the external system"? (Doc ID 2965525.1)

Users are trying to change the effective date of some items and are not able to do so. These items show the following message popup.

"Some of the items selected have already been sent to the external system. These items will not be modified. Do you want to continue."

"Item(s) already have a sent date. You cannot modify or take markdowns for those items."

How can users edit these items?
