CopyBook In Transaction Assignment Resolving To Global Level Instead Of The Product Override
(Doc ID 2965973.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 18, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 11.3.1.22 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On : 11.3.1.22 version, Activity
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
CopyBooks at the Product Override level used for Transaction Assignment processing are not getting loaded.
Instead the Global level empty Copybook is loaded resulting in Premiums not getting applied to the Policy's Allocated Funds.
The Plan level ApplyPremium Transaction uses a Product level Copybook for the Assignment configuration.
In previous OIPA versions, the Product level Copybook was correctly getting picked up when processing the Activity.
The last version this worked was v11.3.1.13.
After deploying v11.3.1.22, the Product level Copybook was being selected instead of the Copybook at the Global level.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The Product level Copybooks used for Assignment processing should of been loaded when processing the Activity.
The Premium getting applied to the Policy would then correctly be applied to the Allocated Funds on the Policy.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Configure a Policy Transaction that applies money to Funds.
2. The configuration should be in a Global level Copybook.
3. The Assignment should reference a Product level Copybook which in turn references another Product level Copybook.
4. Process the Activity and check if the money has been added to the Funds.
