Enhancement Request: Tax Each Balance Impact Instead of Grouping Amounts By Taxcode

Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 12.0.0.8.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
This is an enhancement request to consider to tax each balance impact instead of grouping amounts by taxcode.
In Billing and Revenue Management (BRM), when billing, it groups balance impacts by taxcode and then seeks to find the tax amount by whatever method is in use (native BRM, Vertex, or custom). This is efficient because it needs the fewest trips to the taxation engine. In addition, the method is permissible per Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USA). However, it becomes nearly impossible to audit a bill or answer a customer's question how each line item is taxed because one cannot see in the "Cycle Tax (acct)" event *which products/bal impacts contributed to each tax code.
Are there any plans for an option to tax each balance impact separately? This would make it trivial to explain a bill's taxes to an auditor or customer.
