Error 'Invalid username or password error' at P6 Professional Login after Adding a New LDAP SSL Connection for P6 EPPM (Doc ID 2975399.1)

Symptoms

After adding a new LDAP SSL connection for P6 EPPM, successfully logging into P6 Web, and adding a user via LDAP import, when attempting to login to P6 Professional the following error occurs.

Invalid username or password error.

Starting the P6 Pro application by running PM.exe from a Command Prompt window displays the following error:

Could not bind to object LDAP://<LDAP_Host>:<SSL_Port>/<Base_Directory_Node> (8007203A)

A Windows Event Viewer 'Schannel' event displays the following error:

Event ID: 36884
Description: The certificate received from the remote server does not contain the expected name. It is therefore not possible to determine whether we are connecting to the correct server. The server name we were expecting is <computer_name>. The TLS connection request has failed. The attached data contains the server certificate.
