Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2023

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When testing the interim fix for Bug 35585657 the following was noticed:

Scenario 1-
• Testing was done for an existing model which was created before the Patch.
• Data was loaded initially with values for non-nullable columns. The data was loaded successfully as expected.
• The data file was updated by replacing the NULL values in non-nullable columns and data load was initiated. The data load completed successfully with rows refreshed and latest timestamp in DMW.

Scenario 2-
• A new data model was created, and data was loaded initially with values for non-nullable columns. The data was loaded successfully as expected.
• The data file was updated by replacing the NULL values in non-nullable columns and data load was initiated. The data load failed as expected with error “ORA-01400:cannot insert NULL”.

Is this an issue or expected behavior?
