User NOT Prompted With "Would you like to re-schedule all tasks..." Message After 2nd Work Queue Change (Doc ID 2982890.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the Task List tab of the Tasks window, the first time a user changes a work queue assignment they are prompted with a message (see below) asking if they want to change all queue assignments.  After changing the queue, and, if the queue assignment is changed again, the system does NOT prompt the user to change all tasks assigned to the same queue. This behavior was first observed after the upgrade from 6.3.1.417.5 where it worked as expected to 6.3.1.587.10. The problem has also been observed/verified in 6.3.1.705.2.

Message

Would you like to re-schedule all tasks that are scheduled to work
queue '{WorkQueueId}' to work queue {WorkQueueId}?

NOTE: The problem exists in both the "Task Maintenance..." and "Assign Tasks" / "Service Request Tasks..." windows (w_task_generate and w_task_generate_response_maint respectively).

Changes

Installed/upgraded to MetaSolv Solution 6.3.1.452 or higher.
