In the Items form of the Supply Chain Workbench, the Minimum Shelf Life is 49

The expectation is that the a lot that is scheduled to expire in less than 49 days should not be used ot meet sales order demand on 24-JUL-2023

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create an item in Inventory with the following attributes:
    1. Lot Expiration Control = User-defined
    2. Shelf Life Days = 30
    3. Lot Control = Full Control
    4. Starting Prefix = BF
    5. Starting Number = 1
    6. Safety Stock Method = MRP Planned %
    7. Safety Stock Bucket Days = 90
    8. Safety Stock Percent = 1000
    9. Preprocessing Lead Time = 0
    10. Processing Lead Time = 1
    11. Postprocessing Lead Tie = 0
  2. Generate 3 Lot Numbers with expiration dates
    1. BF00001 - 13-AUG-2023
    2. BF00002 - 28-AUG-2023
    3. BF00003 - 29-AUG-2023
  3. Perform receipt transactions into each of the lots
    1. BF00001 - 228
    2. BF00002 - 1092
    3. BF00003 - 773
  4. Create forecast demand
    1. 25-JUL-2023 - 180
    2. 26-JUL-2023 - 24
    3. 27-JUL-2023 - 600
  5. Assign the item to a Make At sourcing rule and associate with an Assignment Set
  6. Run the Planning Data Collection
  7. Create an Item Simulation Set and set the Minimum Remaining Shelf Life Days to 49 for the item
  8. Define plan with the Item Simulation Set attached
  9. Set the following profiles:
    1. MSC: Respect Minimum Remaining Shelf Life Days to Yes
    2. MSC: Anchor date for calculating remaining shelf life to Arrival Date
  10. Run the plan
