Error "Unable to Load Data" When Attempting to View Activities in P6 Web

Symptoms
When loading an Activities view in P6 Web that contains an Activity Code filter, and the Activity Code value is assigned to a large number of global project activities, the following error occurs.
Unable to load data. An unknown error has occurred.
The issue can also occur (without generating an error) by adding a filter in the Activities view. Once the filter is applied, the filtering does not work properly.
The issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps:
- In P6 Web, navigate to Project > EPS.
- Open a project and click Activities.
- Once the page loads, add a filter for an Activity Code and value that is assigned to some activities in the project, and is also assigned across all/many projects.
(The filter can include other options, but the driver here is an Activity Code value.) - Assign the filter to a new View or apply it to existing View.
- Note the behavior when loading/reloading the activities page with the Activity Code filter applied.
