Support For ConnectToResource CAP Message Sent From OC3C To IVR For EstablishTemporaryConnection Scenario (Doc ID 2984274.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 06, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 12.0.4.0.0 and later
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 12.0.4.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

As per functionality implemented in customer's legacy systems, in Camel/ARI(Assist Request Instructions) dialogue response, customer's network requires Camel/CTR (Connect To Resource) message before Camel/PA (Play Announcement) operation.

This is not supported by Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC-3C) platform, however it is allowed by Camel specification.

It is expected OC-3C will be able to support CTR CAP (CAMEL Application Part) message sent from OC-3C to IVR (Interactive Voice Response) for ETC (Establish Temporary Connection) scenario.

See below expected call flow for the relevant scenario:

ESTABLISH_TEMPORARY_CONNECTION_WITH_CONNECT_TO_RESOURCE (NOT IMPLEMENTED YET)
