Impact on Argus Application if Database Sequence is Reduced/Restarted to a New Default Minimum Value (Doc ID 2984597.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety - Version 8.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

What is the impact on the Argus application, if the database sequence is reduced/restarted to some default minimum value?

It has been observed that the database sequence of the Argus APP schema got bumped to the max database ID.

In order to restore the previous sequence value on ARGUS_APP - all updated sequences should be updated. What is the impact of updating(reducing) database sequence value (LAST_NUMBER) to some default smaller value?

For Example, LM_REF_TYPES table should have database Sequence LAST_NUMBER as 100002 but its values show 1000000234.

TABLE_NAME||Seq_Name||Current_Seq_val||Initial_Seq_Value||DATABASE_MIN_VAL||DATABASE_MAX_VAL

LM_REF_TYPES||S_LM_REF_TYP_REF_TYPE_ID|| 1000000234|| 100002|| 1|| 1000000233
