Purpose

Oracle Energy & Water provides integrated experiences for consumers via Oracle Utilities Digital Self-Service and for employees via Customer Experience for Utilities. There can be significant cost savings in purchasing these solutions that are purpose-built for the industry to integrate with Oracle Utilities Customer and Meter applications. In situations where there are requirements to integrate with a 3rd party customer portal, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application, or other external systems there may be benefit to integrating with Application Programming Interfaces (API)s that are provided for these purposes. The Oracle Energy & Water APIs have some restrictions so this article is intended to answer questions about licensing requirements and scope.
