Export of PDX File Is Failing with Error "Failed - Network error" When Accessed to Web Client Using Load Balancer URL (Doc ID 2985403.1)

Symptoms

Unable to export PDX file from Agile Web Client with below error when connected from load balancer URL:
Failed - Network error




The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Web Client http(s)://{load_balancer}.{domain_name}:{port}/Agile/PLMServlet, and open an item with Bill of Material (BOM) and attachments added. The issue is likely to happen with attachment files with size more than 150 MB.
  2. Do Actions > Export, and select Format: PDX, and Next.
  3. Select: Create custom filter, and Next.
  4. On Select Item content to export screen, check on BOM Items, All Levels, and Attachment Files. and Next.
  5. Export.
  6. Export in progress... screen shows up.
  7. After waiting for about a minute, shows Export completed, but shows spinning cursor.
  8. Pop up showing the file name of pdx shows up, and see the file size being downloaded grows, however it hangs in the middle of download.
  9. After waiting for some time, eventually it shows "Failed - Network error" message.
  10. Check the download location, and cannot see pdx file being downloaded.

Changes

Configured Load Balancer to access to Web Client.
