Symptoms

System prompts an error message when a Business Process (BP) having Query Based Data Elements (QBDEs) changes its status from Draft to Complete and is redeployed without any changes made to the BP.

ERROR

Query base data element <XXX> cannot have a directions set as Input or Both in the upper form integration interface. QBDEs can be updated using trigger elements or refresh conditions in BP configuration.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log in to Unifier.
  2. In Admin mode, navigate to Company Workspace > uDesigner > Business Processes > BP_XYZ - Home. (Note: BP_XYZ has QBDEs in its upper form).
  3. Attempt to change the status from Draft and to Complete and redeploy without any changes made to the BP.
  4. Observe the error messages on the page displayed.
