Symptoms

On : Oracle Communications Messaging Server 8.1.0.23.20230328

There appears to be a character limit for role.imap.domainallowed with msconfig.

The following error is observed when imap.domainallowed is set using a recipe file (set_options() function):

Is the character limit configurable? Can this character limit (1024 bytes) be increased?

The issue was reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Created a recipe file that contained:  set_options ([""imap.domainallowed"," "+IMAP:IPADDR/32,IPADDR/24,....",
                                                                               "imap.enable", "1",
                                                                                ...and 14 other imap options]);

    2.  Ran the recipe file
         ./msconfig run ./mytest.rcp
