Symptoms

On : 11.3.0.35 version, Installation

Following the deployment of the Rules Palette (RP) application under WLS,
when users attempt to login via RP application they receive the following message:


ERROR
-----------------------
WARNING [com.adminserver.asideutilities.globals.CipherUtl]: Given final block not properly padded. Such issues can arise if a bad key is used during decryption.
javax.crypto.BadPaddingException: Given final block not properly padded. Such issues can arise if a bad key is used during decryption.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Deploy Weblogic Rules Palette war file.
2. Configure data source.
3. Configure environment variables.
4. Configure standalone application (add libraries).
5. Configure new environment in RP.
6. Attempt to Login.
