OSM CN: Clarification On OSM File System (Doc ID 2997054.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 09, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Order and Service Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On: 7.5.0.0.0 version, Cloud Native Toolkit

Planned for a shared FS for each of the environments where multiple applications can write through and for each of the exposed export paths mounted by each application will have a restriction to access their corresponding file system only.

As per my knowledge, the shared file system is a very common way to deploy multiple applications (CN or non-CN) as each FSS gives you the flexibility to claim huge storage (8K GB) as needed.

So setting up FSS for each application (that too for only logs in UIM CN and OSM) does not pose an optimized architecture setup.

Also setting up too many file storages will come up with operational challenges and enhanced costs than a single FSS

Question:

Can we adapt a shared file system during OSM PV setup?
