Users Without Administrator Privilege Are Unable to Create Functional Team With Error "Insufficient Privilege", But Able to Do Save As After Upgrading Agile to 9.3.6 RUP21 and After (Doc ID 2997484.1)

Symptoms

Users without the Administrator privilege are unable to create Functional team with error "Insufficient Privilege", but can do Save As for the Functional Team in Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
Expects to be able to create Functional Team as well.



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Web Client as the problematic user. The user has below privileges:
    • Discover Functional Teams
    • Modify Functional Teams
    • Read Functional Teams
    • SaveAs Functional Teams
    • Create Functional Teams
  2. Go to Tools > Address Book > Functional Team.
  3. Open Functional Team.
  4. Add, and select Type, and give a new Functional Team name and Save. Gets error "Insufficient Privilege" in the Web Client UI.
  5. Select the existing Functional Team, and do "Save As".  See it gets created successfully.

Changes

Upgraded to Agile PLM 9.3.6 RUP21 and after.
