The impact of the changing the distthds and invocthds parameters on Batch Server (Doc ID 2997890.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 16, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter Base - Version 2.8.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Please provide more information of the impact of the changing following parameters from 4 to 6:

https://docs.oracle.com/cd/F38897_01/PDF/CCB_Server_Administration_Guide_v2_8_0_0.pdf

distthds - Number of internal threads used for cache threadpools.
invocthds - Number of internal threads used for invocation services

To change the thread pool count for a batch server, is it as simple as changing the numbers for:

distthds (6) default is 4
invocthds (6) default is 4

from their default of 4 (each) to say 6 if we wanted 6 TPWs per server?

These would have to be changed under these two areas?
./bedit.sh -l cache
and
./bedit.sh -l job

Or other place/section needs to be configured to increase TPWs from 4 to 6?
