Error "The FILESTREAM filegroup 'PMDB_fs_files' has no files assigned to it." When Running DBSETUP to Install a Database on MS SQL Server Express 2022 (Doc ID 3002560.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to create a new P6 database in MS SQL Server Express 2022 using the dbsetup.bat tool, the following error occurs during the Create remaining database objects step.

Error in Run SQL Script sspm_settings.sql :DatabaseToolException (The FILESTREAM filegroup 'PMDB_fs_files' has no files assigned to it. FILESTREAM data cannot be populated on this filegroup until a file is added.

Or:

Error in Run SQL Script sspm_settings.sql :DatabaseToolException (The The FILESTREAM filegroup 'DBName_CONFIG_fs_files' has no files assigned to it. FILESTREAM data cannot be populated on this filegroup until a file is added.

 

SQL Server version 2022 is not a tested and supported configuration for any P6 version 23.x and earlier.

Oracle Support will continue to provide "best efforts" support if P6 is being used with an untested product; however if an issue is encountered in such an environment and we're able to trace the cause to the use of a non-tested configuration, we may require customers to change their environment to comply with the Tested Configurations document as a resolution.
