Symptoms

Receive this error: Failed.System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException when importing a Primavera P6 XML file.

ERROR

Import Failed.System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "fk_task_rsrc". The conflict occurred in database "xxxx", table "dbo.RSRC", column 'rsrc_id'. The statement has been terminated.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login P6 Client.
  2. Go to File-->Import, try to import xml file, fail with error above.
