Interplant Demand Not Planned When Feeding One MRP Plan Into Another MRP Plan with the Interplant Option Checked (Doc ID 3008918.1)

Last updated on MARCH 07, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.3.9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When feeding one manufacturing plan as a demand schedule into another manufacturing plan with the Interplant checkbox enabled, Interorganization Demand is not seen by the second plan when viewing the data in the Workbench form.

The expectation is that the Interorganization Demand should be displayed when the Interplant checkbox is enabled.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. (R) Advanced Supply Chain Planner.
  2. (N) Supply Chain Plan > Names.
  3. Create 2 manufacturing plans.
  4. Open the Plan Options for second plan, under the Organizations tab, add the first plan as a Demand Schedule with the Interplant checkbox enabled.
  5. Launch the first plan.
  6. Launch the second plan.
  7. Open the Workbench.
  8. Observe that no Interorganization Demand demand is seen.
