Purchased_product Entry Deleted on Running Billing
(Doc ID 3012494.1)
Last updated on APRIL 06, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 12.0.0.8.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When the product type is changed from ITEM to SUBSCRIPTION after the product is purchased, on running billing the purchased_product_T entry gets deleted.
The Scenario is as follows:
On the BRM 7.5 PS17 env :
The account with a subscription is created with one-time products. Here the once-off product(601 type) is added and is being activated on the 30th of the month.
Taken a DB snap and upgraded to the BRM 12 PS8 upgrade environment. As part of the upgrade, changed the product type from 601 to 602 (as in the BRM 12 PS8 upgrades purchased_product_t entry is getting deleted, changed it to 602 to keep the entry in pruchased_product_t ) before doing billrun. Once the pin_bill_day (with cycle_fees) is executed it deletes the purchased_product_T entry for the 30th (last day) purchased products for which charges are yet to be realized. (it generates charge events for that but it deletes the purchased_product_T entry - which is not expected as in product_T the type is already changed to 602.
