Asynch Questions For Calls To SoftRater (Doc ID 3013291.1)

Last updated on APRIL 16, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Insbridge Rating and Underwriting - Version 5.6.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The customer is trying to enable the ability to interface with Insbridge SoftRater in an asynchronous manner using queues.

They are hoping that similar to web service support, SoftRater could provide support for communication over queues per Option 2 as stated in https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E96993_01/E96974_01.pdf on page 8.

They have the following Questions:

1) Does SoftRater have a messaging queue solution for communication with external applications?
2) For real-time asynch request, is the controller database really necessary?
3) Can a Microsoft SQL database be used as a SoftRater database?
4) Can a Microsoft SQL database be used as the Controller/Batch database?
