In relation to item and VAT integration from RMS to the Point of Sale (POS), VAT Item records are exported from RMS to downstream POS system but not in the expected format.
Sometimes older VAT-Item records are being assigned greater sequence number compared to a new entry. This is visible while writing the sequence is maintained by the export_itemvat.ksh batch.
Our integration process is reading the VAT-Item entries top down for each vat_region and item combination. Hence it is sometimes assigning incorrect VAT code to an item in the POS system as the last record is not always the most recent one.
Why is the numbering sequence not maintained while writing data in the staging table ITEM_EXPORT_STG?
