5G: httpGW Sending Blank Response to SMF Causing Management Intervention Trigger (Doc ID 3023486.1)

Symptoms

In case of Elastic Charging Server (ECS) cache corruption, it was observed that HTTP Gateway (httpGW) is sending a blank response to Session Management Function (SMF).

The requirement is to send an appropriate error code.

Scenario can look like this:
- New customer/customerID provisioned;
- 5G initiate a new session;
- the next step is ECS cache corruption - delete cache (only customer cache) for the above customerID.
- 5G update request received for the session id
- ECS sends a blank response - see below:
