OCOMC cartridges pauses for couple of minutes before processing next batch of NAR files

It is observed that all cartridges are pausing for couple of minutes after picking up a batch of Call Details Records(CDR's). This continues for all cartridges, is there a way to reduce or remove pause intervals, so that through put of Oracle Communication Offline Mediation Controller(OCOMC) is increased?
