Symptoms

On: Oracle Communications Messaging Server 8.1.0.23.20230328 64bit (built Mar 28 2023)

The messaging store ran out of locks, processes exited abnormally, and store processes restarted.

There were some ongoing performance problems with some ZFS storage appliances. Three imapd processes and two ims_master processes were observed showing "Lock table is out of available locker entries", e.g.


How can the number of locks be monitored whilst the storage issue is being worked on?
What is the lock limit?


KM document: Impurge Locking Error: Locker Does Not Exist (Doc ID 1919720.1)

says the locker structures grow dynamically, but there must still be a limit if they ran out.
