BRE Transformation Engine Is Updating SERVICECLASS With Incorrect Value
(Doc ID 3038726.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 27, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Pricing Design Center - Version 12.0.0.8.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Scenario:
- performed pricing migration from Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) to Pricing Design Center (PDC) using MigrateBRMPricing utility
- after this it is seen that the SERVICECLASS column in IFW_RATEPLAN_CNF table was migrated correctly as 'DEF' to PDC
- then user is modifying some data in the corresponding charge rate plan by running ImportExportPricing
- this is when it is seen that Batch Rating Engine (BRE) transformation process is replacing 'DEF' with '*' in the SERVICECLASS field of IFW_RATEPLAN_CNF table in BRM (BRE) database
- it is expected that BRE transformation should retain SERVICECLASS = DEF
- as a result, user was facing call detail record (CDR) rejections with below error as seen in pipeline stream log:
01.07.2024 17:07:06 Timemodel not found (IFW_RATEPLAN_CNF) for RP=RP-001, RPV=1, IC=ABCD, SCode=GSM and SClass=DEF. Packet no. '0'.
01.07.2024 17:07:06 The EDR is rejected.
What is the reason for the above error in pipeline rating? Is it because of the SERVICECLASS getting updated to '*'?
