Symptoms
When the plan is run on a weekend (Off Day), Onhand is net on next work day(Monday) and the Planned orders are created for past due demand that can be satisfied by Onhand.
Example:
Launch plan on Saturday
On-hand of 100 is placed in Monday bucket
Past Due Demand of 50 in Saturday bucket
Planned Order of 50 created to satisfy Past Due Demand - and then moved to working day - Monday
This improper planning results in excess supply.
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Advanced Supply Chain Planner
2. / Supply Chain Plan / Launch - choose plan and submit request
3. / Supply Chain Plan / Workbench and query item
Observe an excess planned order on first working day of the plan
