Data Discrepency Between REST API /WBSSpread and P6 Professional Resource Assignment (Doc ID 3041675.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

There is a mis-match when invoking /spread/wbsSpread API to retrieve summarized WBS ActualLaborUnits, PlannedLaborUnits, CumulativeActualLaborUnits, CumulativePlannedLaborUnits, they are not aligned with the value from P6 Professional.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Customer expects the data returned by REST API should be aligned with P6 Professional

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure environment setting in P6 EPPM
    • Summarization - Specify the interval to summarize and store resource spreads.
      1. Summarized by Calendar checked
      2. WBS Level: Week
      3. Resource/Role Assignment: Week
    • Starting Day of Week - First day of week for calendars
      1.   Monday
  2. Summarize the project in P6 Professional
    • Summarize to WBS Level: 0
  3. Open Resource Assignment
    • Filter out material
    • Add Actual Units, Budgeted Units, Cum Actual Units and Cum Budgeted Units
  4. Run REST API /spread/wbsSpread
  5. Notice the data difference: For example, Week Apr 17, 190.91 in P6 Professional, "ActualLaborUnits": 192.96, and "ActualNonlaborUnits": 11.666667 in REST API call
